    Terms of Service

The Jennings Method · Last updated: 13 September 2026

    Intro

These terms cover the 1:1 coaching program provided by Chris Jennings trading as The Jennings Method (ABN 94 739 560 487) of Melbourne, Australia. "We", "I" and "us" mean The Jennings Method. "You" means the person being coached.

By paying for the program you're agreeing to these terms. Read them before you pay, not after — and if something here doesn't sit right, email coachchrisjennings@gmail.com and ask before you commit.

    1. What you're buying

A 12-week, individually written strength and conditioning program, coached by me personally, delivered online. It runs in three stages:

    • Stage 1 — Weeks 1 to 4. Assessment, corrective work aimed at your weakest domain, and a base strength and conditioning program.
    • Stage 2 — Weeks 5 to 9. Sport-specific power and speed work, conditioning built to your sport's demands, progressive load based on how you're responding.
    • Stage 3 — Weeks 10 to 12. Peaking timed to your season or schedule, an in-season maintenance plan, a re-test against your Week 1 baselines, and a handover of your long-term training blueprint.

    2. What's included

    • A program written for you — your test scores, your sport, your schedule, your injury history and what your body actually tolerates
    • Your program delivered through a coaching app, with messaging access to me
    • Video review of your technique
    • Regular check-ins, and adjustments to your program based on how you're responding
    • Week 1 baseline assessment and Week 12 re-test

Expect to train 3 to 4 sessions per week, 45 to 60 minutes each, including any prescribed speed or mobility work.

    3. What's not included

    • Nutrition or diet planning
    • Physiotherapy, injury diagnosis, injury treatment or rehabilitation
    • In-person or face-to-face sessions
    • Gym membership or equipment
    • Supplements, or advice about them

    4. Health and safety — please read this one properly

I'm a strength and conditioning coach. I'm not a physiotherapist, not a doctor, and not qualified to diagnose or treat an injury. Nothing I give you is medical advice, and coaching is not a substitute for seeing someone qualified.

    Before you start:

    • Get clearance from your doctor if you have any medical condition, injury, or a reason to be uncertain whether hard training is safe for you.
    • Tell me honestly about your injury history, your current pain, any medication, and anything a health professional has told you to avoid. I write your program from what you tell me — if it's incomplete, the program is built on incomplete information.

    While you're training:

    • Stop if something hurts in a way that isn't normal training discomfort, and tell me. Don't push through and don't wait for the next check-in.
    • If you develop pain, an injury, or symptoms that concern you, see a qualified health professional. I'll adjust your program around whatever they tell me, and I'd rather do that than have you train through something.
    • If anything about your health changes during the program, tell me.

Physical training carries inherent risk of injury. You take part voluntarily, you're responsible for training within your own limits, and you accept that risk. That said — nothing in this clause takes away your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, and I'm not trying to sidestep responsibility for doing my own job properly.

    5. Your side of it

Coaching works when both people do their part. Yours:

    • Give me accurate and complete information, and keep it up to date
    • Follow the program as written, or tell me why you can't so I can change it
    • Respond to check-ins so I know how you're going
    • Tell me early when something isn't working

I can't promise a result, and I won't. What I can promise is that the program is written for you specifically, that I'll adjust it based on your actual response, and that I'll tell you honestly if I don't think I'm the right coach for you.

    6. What this program does not promise

Results vary between people, and I don't guarantee any particular outcome. Not a specific Athletic Age score, not a particular improvement in any domain, not a vertical jump number, not freedom from pain or injury.

What you get is a program built for you and coached by me for twelve weeks. What that produces depends on training age, genetics, sleep, nutrition, stress, injury history, your sport's demands, and how consistently you do the work — most of which is outside my control.

Anything you've seen on my website is a description of what the coaching involves, or my own personal experience. It isn't a prediction of your result.

    7. Price and payment

    $1,800 for the twelve weeks.

    Two ways to pay:

    • In full, upfront — $1,620. A 10% saving, paid before Stage 1 begins.
    • Three instalments of $600, taken at the start of each stage — Week 1, Week 5 and Week 10.

All prices are in Australian dollars. The Jennings Method is not registered for GST, so no GST is charged.

Payment is processed by a third-party payment provider. I don't see or store your card details.

If an instalment fails, I'll contact you. If it's still unpaid 7 days later, I may pause your program until it's sorted.

    8. Stopping partway through

You can stop at any time. There's no lock-in.

If you stop, the stage you're currently in is payable in full, and nothing further is charged.

    • On instalments: no further instalments are taken. You keep access for the remainder of the stage you've paid for.
    • Paid upfront: I'll refund any full stage that hasn't started, at one third of what you paid per stage ($540 each). So if you stop during Stage 2, Stage 3 is refunded and Stage 2 isn't.

To stop, email coachchrisjennings@gmail.com. It takes effect when I acknowledge it, and I'll confirm in writing what's payable and what's refunded. Refunds go back to your original payment method within 10 business days.

I can also end the arrangement — if you're not engaging with the program, if the information you've given me turns out to be materially wrong, or if I form the view that coaching you isn't safe or appropriate. If I end it for any reason other than something you've done, I'll refund any stage you've paid for and not received.

    9. Pausing

Life happens. If you're injured, unwell, or away, you can pause the program for up to 4 weeks in total, once, by telling me in writing. Your remaining stages resume when you're back.

Longer than that and we'll talk about whether restarting makes more sense than continuing — re-assessment is usually the honest answer after a long break.

    10. Your rights under Australian Consumer Law

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law — including that they'll be provided with due care and skill, be fit for purpose, and be supplied within a reasonable time.

If a service fails to meet a consumer guarantee, you may be entitled to a remedy. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies those rights. Where anything here conflicts with the Australian Consumer Law, the Australian Consumer Law wins.

    11. Limitation of liability

Subject to clause 10, and to the extent the law allows:

    • My total liability to you for anything connected with this program is limited to the amount you've paid me for it.
    • I'm not liable for indirect or consequential loss — lost income, lost opportunity, or loss of the chance to compete.
    • I'm not liable for injury or loss caused by you not following the program as written, not telling me something relevant about your health, or training against advice from a health professional.

Nothing in this clause limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability arising from my own negligence where the law does not permit that to be excluded.

    12. Your program belongs to you; the method doesn't

Your individual program is yours to keep and use after the twelve weeks. That's the point of Stage 3.

The underlying method, templates, assessment structure and written materials remain mine. Please don't resell them, distribute them, or use them to coach other people commercially.

    13. Privacy

I collect health information about you in order to coach you safely. How I handle it is set out in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

    14. Changes to these terms

I may update these terms from time to time. Changes apply to new clients and to renewals — they don't change the deal for a program you've already paid for. If I need to change something that affects a program in progress, I'll ask you first.

    15. Disagreements

If something's gone wrong, email me first: coachchrisjennings@gmail.com. Most things get sorted in a conversation. I'll respond within 5 business days.

If we can't resolve it, either of us can refer the matter to Consumer Affairs Victoria, or to the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal.

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
